Hall, this year’s honorary co-patron. In the nine years since the first event, The University of the West Indies Gala has raised over $1.5 million and has been able to award more than 500 scholarships to aspiring students in the Caribbean. The Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings has placed the University of the West Indies in the top five percent of universities worldwide.
Wes Hall is an established innovator, entrepreneur, and philanthropist. As Executive Chairman & Founder of Kingsdale Advisors, he has been named one of Canada’s most powerful business people.
Wes is also known for generosity, currently acting as a director of SickKids Foundation and a board member of Pathways to Education and Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). In 2017, he received an honorary doctorate from the University of the West Indies.
